   Objectives For Regional Meetings
   <% server.execute "/includes/dateMod.asp" %>

(1) To promote interchapter activities, (2) to encourage student interest in emerging issues in accounting thought and practice, (3) to provide students the opportunity to develop communication skills—both written and oral, (4) to provide members with the opportunity to exchange ideas concerning chapter operations and activities in both formal and informal settings, and (5) to provide the opportunity for general leadership training for officers and members.

Regional meetings were attended by 1,136 individuals representing 201 chapters. Workshops for chapter activities were held by/for members. The National Office funded $40,000 for nine regional meetings. Each of the regional meetings was supported by members of the Advisory Forum and attended by at least one national board member and the respective Regional Director.
