Annual Meeting
The Beta Alpha Psi Annual Conference is an unprecedented event that brings together more than 1,200 participants internationally for an opportunity to provide interaction among students, faculty and professionals. Each year the 3-day conference is held in conjunction with the American Accounting Association Conference.
The main objectives for the conference are as follows:
- Build relationships with peers and professionals
- Recognize and reward scholastic success
- Instill commitment to lifelong professional development
- Develop leadership skills
- Give back to the community through service
- Encourage ethical behavior
The conference affords leadership development, as well as educational and networking opportunities for all. The conference dynamics include the following:
- Community Service Day – Sponsored by KPMG
- Each year the attendees will work collectively in an area of need in the host city of the
conference. Community parks, schools, and food banks are typical recipients of over 800
volunteering hands. Several years ago, in San Diego, the city where Community Service
Day originated, Beta Alpha Psi and KPMG made a pledge to give back to the
community. With continued support this tradition has continued and upheld its
momentum to serve cities throughout the United States.
