2009 Beta Alpha Psi Annual Conference
Bridging Success
August 6 - 8, 2009 • Brooklyn, NY
President's Letter
Welcome to the 2009 Beta Alpha Psi Annual Meeting website.
It is my pleasure to invite you to attend this year's meeting at the Brooklyn Marriott. Our theme is "Bridging Success" and with the Brooklyn Bridge providing the backdrop, the meeting will focus on helping you to develop the skills and knowledge you need to go from a successful student to a successful professional. In the evenings you will find plenty of restaurants, shopping and attractions right in Brooklyn or Manhattan is only one subway stop away.
This year's activities will begin with the "Project-Run-With-It" competitors starting their cases on Wednesday evening, Community Service Day will kick-off Thursday, and the professional meeting will begin on Friday morning. I'm excited about announcing the first winners of the "Go for the Gold" competition on Saturday as well as the second recipient of the "Medal of Inspiration."
This year's program offers something for everyone. Those attending will have the opportunity:
- to participate in community service and competitions;
- to share ideas for running a successful chapter and learn how to successfully lead your chapter;
- to learn from experts about the current economy, ethics, forensic accounting, certifications, professional etiquette, and more;
- to network with students and professionals from around the world; and
- to have some fun in New York.
I hope you will plan to be a part of BAP's 2009 Annual Meeting and experience this great opportunity to learn, network and have fun. I look forward to seeing you in Brooklyn!
