Dear Beta Alpha Psi Faculty Advisors and Chapter Presidents,
Registration is moving along very well for our upcoming Annual Meeting,
August 4-6 in San Francisco. Over 800 students, Faculty Advisors,
Advisory Forum members and Board members have already registered.
We want you and the students in your chapter to
be there too if you haven't signed up yet! Please be advised
that the registration fee for students will increase to $135 after
July 8 which is next Friday.
Before your students register, they should review the on-line program
so they can choose the sessions they want to attend. All
concurrent sessions will need to be selected at the time of registration. The
Friday luncheon entree as well as the Friday night activity will
also need to be selected at this time. The Friday night
activity is completely underwritten (thank you to McGladrey & Pullen,
LLP) for advisors and primarily underwritten by Beta Alpha Psi (our
cost is $25 per activity and the students pay only $10) for students.
So please register soon to ensure you get the choices of activities
and sessions you want.
Faculty Advisors - One of the sessions that we
would like to draw your attention to is “Dealing with Difficult Issues
by the Faculty Advisor.” Christine Johnson (Montana State University),
Ann Martin (University of Colorado at Denver) and Terry Warfield,
(University of Wisconsin-Madison) will be leading this session and
would like your input. Please e-mail anyone of those individuals
(email addresses are listed below) with one or two problems that
you have encountered so that it may be incorporated into this session.
