| Subject: | BAP Reporting Intranet/BAP Annual Meeting/Are there any BAP Bloggers?

Dear Faculty Advisors and Chapter Presidents,
Our Annual Meeting is next week and over 1,100 people are registered.
We are looking forward to providing an extraordinary experience in
San Francisco. There are a few things that I need to bring to your
attention:
Reporting Intranet
We are in the final stages of testing the new reporting intranet
for the upcoming academic year. If you go to the RI on the BAP Website
at www.bap.org, you will see that it is “under construction”. Please
come back after August 15 and we expect the new system to be ready
at that time. If your chapter entered any information on the system
after July 19, it will have to be re-entered. We know who you are,
and we 'll be in touch with your chapter separately.
Annual Meeting
At our annual meeting, you will see a video crew covering our sessions.
We will be creating at BAP DVD that will give an overview of what
BAP is. You will have the opportunity to be interviewed (mostly students
but some faculty advisors are welcome!) and your story may be included.
Please be prepared to talk about how BAP has benefited you in some
of the following (but not limited to) ways:
- A meeting or presentation that was particularly helpful
- A great job or internship you landed from someone you met at
BAP
- A person who had a great impact on you that you met through BAP
- A personal relationship that developed through BAP
- Something non-academic that you learned from BAP
There will be designated times and a location for you to go to for
the interviews on Friday. The videographer will also be circulating
at our reception, recording several sessions, and attending the baseball
game on Friday night.
You are Beta Alpha Psi, so please participate!
Are there any BAP Bloggers?
If you or someone in your chapter has a blog about BAP (or if you
would like to start one), there is a publication that would like
to feature you and your blog! Some of you may have seen Start
Here Magazine and they would like to feature a student from
BAP who has kept a journal or diary about their college/university
experience. Your blog should talk about your chapter activities,
college courses, professors, friends, the all-nighters, possibly
an internship, interviewing, …the whole gamut of activities that
are part of life as a BAP member.
Please be in touch with me at hbaum@bap.org if
you have some writing to share or if you know someone who does. There
is a small honorarium if your blog is published.
For those of you traveling to San Francisco, be safe. Looking forward
