Presidents and Reporters,
Hurricane Katrina
Beta Alpha Psi has several chapters in New Orleans. We hope that
all of the faculty and students in our chapters are safe and well.
On the BAP homepage www.bap.org we have compiled a list of universities
that have offered to admit students affected by Hurricane Katrina.
Many additional universities across the country and also outside
of the US that have also opened their doors to students from New
Orleans.
Many of our chapters are conducting events to raise funds to help
those displaced by the hurricane. If you would like to share what
your chapter is doing, please send me an e-mail and I will compile
the responses.
When we receive word that our chapters are starting up again in
New Orleans, we will reach out to them in a special way.
Reporting Intranet
Most of the bugs that were identified have been repaired. We encountered
some delays due to vacations, but they are now over. If you encounter
new problems, please e-mail them to bap@bap.org and identify your
chapter and each step that you took so that we will be able to recreate
the problem, determine the cause, and get it fixed!
Please do not call the office for the password to get into the system.
When you listen to the tutorial, you will receive it.
Again, it is not unusual to encounter problems when a new system
is launched. We have not encountered a large volume of issues but
we are sensitive to your time and frustration when you are the one
with the problem.
Superior Chapter Plates
Please let us know as soon as possible if your chapter didn’t
receive its superior chapter plate. One of the boxes shipped back
from San Francisco
is missing and it may never show up. We want your chapter to receive
the plate that it earned! Also, the superior scholarship checks will
be
processed in batches over the next few weeks and you should have
yours by early October at the latest.
Case Seminars
Our registration is off to a good start. Please be sure to have
your students register as soon as possible if they intend to participate.
As a reminder, there is no advance preparation necessary other than
some reading which will be distributed two weeks prior to the seminars.
Do not wait until the last minute as we will have to cut off registration
when we reach our maximum capacity. On the BAP home page, there is
a link to the registration site.

half price - $17.50. There is a multitude of benefits that come along
with this student membership. Please distribute the attached flyer
to your chapter members and encourage them to sign up today. This
