Greetings Beta Alpha Psi Faculty Advisors, Co-Faculty Advisors,
and Chapter Presidents!
I hope everyone celebrated a meaningful Thanksgiving holiday with
family, friends, and others in their communities. As we wind up the
fall semester, here are some updates and information that you will
want to share with your chapters:
Zoe Cheung has a new daughter, Ellen Lee
BAP's reporting coordinator, Zoe Cheung and her husband, John, became
parents of an 8 lb., 14 oz. daughter – Ellen Lee- three weeks ago.
Ellen joins sister Janie who many of you have met at BAP annual meetings.
Zoe will be on maternity leave until sometime in January and then
will return to work part-time for a few weeks. We are monitoring
her e-mail and calls, but please use the BAP general e-mail address, BAP@BAP.org and
phone number 212/596-6090 during this period.
If you would like to congratulate Zoe or send her a card, please
send it to the BAP address and we will forward it to her.
Katrina Holiday Campaign
The Delta Gamma chapter at the University of South Florida is undertaking
a major holiday campaign to help people in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
If your chapter would like to participate by sending clothing, children's
gifts or funds, attached is a flyer with additional details.
BAP 2006 Annual Meeting – Washington, DC
There will be some changes to the timing and layout of the annual
meeting from prior years. We expect to finalize the program shortly
and announce the changes prior to the end of this semester. Please
do not make any airline reservations prior to the publication of
the annual meeting program.
Registration is now open for the BAP 2006 Regional Meetings
Please click on the calendar on the BAP homepage, www.BAP.org ,
and go to your regional meeting by date. You will be at the Website
created specifically for your region's meeting. It will link you
to the CVENT registration site. Remember that your students must
register and pay a separate fee if they are participating in the
Leadership Seminar. Also, the registration fee for your regional
meeting is only $44 until 30 days prior to the meeting. Afterwards,
there is a $15 surcharge. Please encourage everyone to register early
to enable the host chapters to plan appropriately. Also, make your
hotel reservations early. Do not wait until the hotel cut-off
date to book your reservation. It will be easier for BAP
to secure additional rooms, if needed, the earlier we know that there
is a d emand.
The host chapters have put a lot of work in to planning for the
regional meetings and we encourage all chapters to participate!
Excel Workbook Due Date – December 15
We are looking forward to receiving your workbooks no later than
December 15. Please do not wait until the last minute as there will
not be an extension of time. You can download the workbook from the
BAP homepage, www.bap.org .
Attendance at Graduate Case Seminar and TJ Burns Undergraduate
Seminar
We have processed and sent checks for all expense reports submitted
through the middle of November. The checks are made payable to your
chapter. Also, students can claim eight professional hours for participating
in the seminar. If someone participated and hasn't submitted an expense
report, please do so as soon as possible.
Support our vendors
Please encourage your members to patronize our vendors for gifts
during the holiday season. Also, if your chapter is planning to purchase
t-shirts or other items for your chapter, please get an estimate
from our vendor. Supporting our vendors helps Beta Alpha Psi.
