Business Information Professional of the Year Deadline
This is a reminder that the deadline for applications is Wednesday, February 15. Please upload all documents to the reporting intranet. Please note that photographs must be .jpg, .gif, or any three letter suffix. The reporting intranet cannot accept .html files.
Beta Alpha Psi Elections
Within the next few days, you will be receiving an online ballot to vote for the nominees for office for 2006-2007. Please respond promptly. The nominees are: President-elect: Stephanie Bryant (University of South Florida); Director of Program for Chapter Activities: Paulette Tandy (University of Nevada- Las Vegas; Midwest Regional Director: Roann Kopel (Eastern Illinois University); Rocky Mountain/Missouri Valley Regional Director: Amy An (University of Iowa).
Accountemps/AICPA Student Scholarship – please publicize to your students
The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Accountemps sponsor the Accountemps/AICPA Student Scholarship. The scholarships in the amount of $2500 each are awarded to two AICPA student affiliate members..
In addition to being an AICPA student affiliate member, the eligibility requirements are:
- The student must be a declared accounting, finance, or information systems major with a grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0;
- The student must have completed 30 semester hours, or the equivalent, of college work, including at least six (6) semester hours, or the equivalent, in accounting;
- The student must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student, unless you are completing your final semester of study at a four-year or upper division institution.
The deadline for receipt of all application materials is April 1st. A Scholarship Selection Committee comprised of AICPA and Accountemps representatives will select the recipients based upon their outstanding academic achievement, leadership and future career interests.
