Greetings Beta Alpha Psi Faculty Advisors, Co-Faculty Advisors and Chapter Officers!
As many of you will be leaving campus within the near future, here are some updates and requests regarding the Annual Meeting:
- Presentations at Annual Meeting: Thank you very much to all of the students and faculty who submitted proposals for presentations at the annual meeting. Attached is a list of the presentations that have been accepted. If your chapter will be using “PowerPoint”, please send your presentation to Val Page at vpage@aicpa.org no later than June 15. Please also let us know if you will not be using a computer for your presentation.
- Please send your photos: We are planning a visual presentation that will include photos from your chapter activities during the year. Please submit photos from some of your events – they must be digital. Make sure you indicate in your e-mail your chapter name and the names of the people in the photo. They can be sent to Val Page at the e-mail address above.
- Registration: Registration is open for the Annual Meeting on CVENT through the homepage of the BAP website – www.bap.org. It is important for us to know how many people plan to attend. Also, make sure to reserve your hotel room as soon as possible. Our room block is filling and we need to know whether we will require additional rooms.
- Best Practices: If your chapter won first place at a regional meeting, your presentation and abstract were due at the executive office on May 1. Please send them to me at hbaum@aicpa.org as soon as possible. Your presentation will be ten minutes. If the same person/people won’t be attending the annual meeting, others can give the presentation.
- Exhibiting at the Annual Meeting: We have sent information to those schools that have exhibited in past years. If you haven’t received it or would like to exhibit this year, please be in touch with Genette Santana at gsantana@aicpa.org, and she will send you the details. The “early bird” deadline is June 1, 2006.
The program for this year is very innovative, and we look forward to seeing you in DC on August 2-4!
