Happy New Year! We hope that the holiday break has enabled you to spend time with family and friends and renew yourself for the opportunities that 2008 will bring. Please remember that Beta Alpha Psi’s fiscal year-end is April 30 and the reporting year-end is June 1. All reports and tax returns will be due by June 1. If you anticipate any challenges in meeting this time frame, now is the time for you to establish a plan to reach this deadline and to divide up the responsibilities among chapter members.

1. The Regional Meetings Are Almost Here!  If you haven’t registered yet for your chapter’s regional meeting – please do so at: http://guest.cvent.com/EVENTS/Info/Summary.aspx?e=66783dc2-5e2f-411d-8dcd-70aa1ae08f55
2. Tax Season is here! VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) is a rewarding service program for any chapter to be involved in- go to link http://www.bap.org/chaphand/vita.htm and check out the details! If your chapter participates in VITA, it must complete the report on our website.
3.  Reporting Intranet Tip of the Month – To help ensure that your chapter’s membership counts are accurate:
1. Make sure to enter the correct “Effective Date”
2. Please enter the candidates on a timely basis.
3. Never move a candidate from “Active” to “On Leave” to “Alumni” using the same “Effective Date”
4. Attention New Chapter Reporters!  Make sure to watch the tutorials!
