Hi everyone,
Please share the below reminders with your chapter members:

1. Nomination Forms – are now posted on the BAP website at: http://www.bap.org/nominations.htm Remember they are due May 1st, 2009!
   1. Alumni Representative
   2. Business Professional of the Year
   3. Outstanding Faculty Advisor – So many to choose from!
   4. AICPA Medal of Inspiration – Nominate yourself for someone in your chapter who truly exemplifies “Greatness”.
   5. Project Run With It – Nomination form will be posted shortly!


2. VITA –It’s not too late to volunteer your tax knowledge with someone who needs it – to get involved go to: http://www.bap.org/chaphand/vita.htm


3. April 30, 2009 –is the official fiscal year end for Beta Alpha Psi.
   1. Please check your chapter’s invoice on the Reporting Intranet and remit payment for membership dues as soon as possible to avoid the $20 per candidate penalty fee.


4. Regional Meetings – The meetings have officially begun. Thanks to the California State University – Fullerton for hosting a great Western Regional meeting.

5. Reporting Deadline – June 1st, 2009 is the absolute deadline for all chapter reporting.
   1. All chapters seeking Superior Chapter Status must meet the June 1st deadline – No Exceptions.
   2. Please submit IRS Form 990 if your chapter’s revenue is greater than $25K – Due June 1st.
   3. Audits are only required for chapter’s that have revenue greater than $100K for the past year. – Due June 1st.


6. Beta Alpha Psi welcomes Esteban “Este” Alicea–Rivera as its Web Designer. In this role, he will be responsible for working with our software vendor to create a new Website for BAP and establish a social networking community for our members and alumni. We have been looking forward to bringing these projects to fruition for a long time. With Este aboard, we anticipate that will be very soon!
   
   Esteban has over eleven years experience producing various websites, web–based e–learning and web–based applications in academic, corporate and government work environments. Most recently he worked as a Web Designer / Developer with MetaMetrics, Inc. In addition, he helped develop the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission website to exceed section 508 accessibility compliance and created EEOC’s Spanish language website. In the past Esteban has developed backend e–learning modules for the Pharmaceutical industry, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and Military Medicine, and the U.S. Navy Seals. Esteban lives in Apex, NC with his wife Stefanie and his six year old son Stephen who wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up. Este can be reached at 919/402-4080 or ealicea-rivera@aicpa.org.
