Hello everyone,

We would like to share two items of good news with you:

Effective September 1, Margie Fiorentino’s new title is Chapter Services Specialist as a result of a promotion.

Margie has continuously taken on additional responsibility in the executive office. She is now responsible for responding to all questions related to the PCA and reviewing mid-year and end-of year workbooks in addition to the beginning of the year and end of year reports. This is only a fraction of what she does.

Also, on September 2 Yolanda Hamer, our conference planner, gave birth to Addyson Elizabeth Hamer. Mom, Dad and baby are fine!

With the start of the new academic year we want to keep you informed with the following:

1. Superior Chapter Plaques
   Congratulations to all the chapters who achieved Superior status. If you need a plaque to display your superior chapter plate please email the Executive Office at bap@bap.org no later than September 30th. We will order all the plaques together in one order.
2. BAP Calendar – 2009-2010
   The BAP calendar for 2009-2010 has been updated and posted to the website. The basic Regional Conference information is available. Hotel and registration information will be updated shortly.
3. Reminder – Beginning of the Year Report is due October 15^th

4. Institute of Management Accountant’s - Student Leadership Conference – November 5-7, 2009 – St. Louis, MO
   1. Earn Non-BAP Professional Hours – 5 hours per person max.

5. Survey of Beta Alpha Psi Members - Kansas State University is working on putting together an advanced placement accounting course for high school students. Please take moment to fill-out the survey at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=ZlsHyaQhO_2fn5Qb95UrSmhw_3d_3d. This survey is to attempt to assess the number of students that would have taken such a class if they had the opportunity in high school, amongst other things. We appreciate your input! Please note that the survey software will only allow you to access the site once from your PC or laptop. The cutoff date for this survey will be September 30th.

We want to thank all of you who attended the 2009 Annual Meeting in Brooklyn, NY. It was wonderful seeing everyone and all of you contributed to the meeting’s success.
