Below are some important reminders for December:
Award Seeking Chapters – December 15th Deadline is today!
- All Chapters seeking Superior and Distinguished status must upload their workbooks to the Reporting Intranet
- Reaching Out Activities (ROAs) must be updated to RI
- Professional and Service Activities must be updated to RI under the mission based activities screen.
- We are aware of the initiation screen bug – we are working with our programmer to fix it. We should have it resolved within the next few days – thanks for your patience.

Important New Alumni Reaching Out Activity Information!
The Reaching Out Activities available relating to alumni activities for the 2009- 2010 academic year will now be:
- A major event to promote communication between alumni and their alma mater. This event should involve participation of at least 25% of the current chapter membership as well as a significant number of alumni
- Alumni Board or Alumni Contact List
- The creation and maintenance of an alumni board of Beta Alpha Psi alumni or
- Submission of an alumni contact list
Description:
Alumni Board ROA: Each chapter will be eligible to earn a Reaching Out Activity for setting up or maintaining an alumni board. An active board made up of four or more local chapter alumni. Throughout the year, the board must keep in close contact with the local chapter and the Regional Alumni Council Member. The board must complete and submit the form “Alumni Board- Year in Review” from the Beta Alpha Psi webpage by May 1st of each year in order to qualify for the Reaching Out Activity.
Alumni Contact ROA: To receive an Alumni Contact Information ROA point during the 2009-2010 academic year, the chapter will be required to submit on the Reporting Intranet a list of alumni contacts in spreadsheet format with at least each alumni’s name and current email address (other information will also be welcomed). The list will be due by May 1st. We will require the chapter to use at least three of the following resources in creating their list:
- A formal or informal list currently maintained by the chapter itself
- The Faculty Advisor and other accounting/finance/IT faculty
- BAP chapter alumni board/program
- School of Accountancy alumni list***
- School of Business alumni list***
- *** Some university alumni organizations have specific policies around the disclosure of alumni contact information. A more detailed guideline for this Alumni Contact ROA with specific ideas and suggestions on how to best complete the requirements will be distributed to the chapters soon.
