Happy New Year to everyone! We hope you all enjoyed the holidays.

Please be reminded of several important items:

  1. Regional Meetings: Make sure to register for your Regional Meeting at: 2010 BAP Regional Meetings Registration - Regional Meeting Detail Sites
  2. Tax Season is here! VITA Volunteer Income Tax Assistance - VITA is a rewarding service program for any chapter to be involved in. If your chapter participates in VITA, it must complete the report found on our website.
  3. Best Practices – If your chapter plans on competing in this year’s Best Practices competition, please make sure to have your abstract submitted to your Chapter Advocate by the dates listed on the Summary of Competitions page at: BAP Competitions Summary
  4. New Deadline for Outstanding Faculty Advisor Nominations – April 1st, 2010.
    • Make sure to nominate your Outstanding Faculty Advisor by downloading the form at: BAP Downloadable Forms
    • New in 2010 - along with the self nomination process, the Chapter Advocates using a FA survey will also nominate two faculty advisors for each region. This will help allow more Outstanding FAs to be recognized. An email with the survey will follow shortly.
    • These awards will be presented at both the American Accounting Association Annual Meeting as well as the BAP Annual Conference.
  5. New Chapter Reporters – Please make sure to watch the tutorials.
  6. Register on our Web Forum Today! Go to: http://www.bap.org/bapForum - Post your questions or suggestions – we want to hear from you!
  7. All Communications are posted on our website at: News and Updates – This is a great reference for all chapters to note.
  8. University of Dayton’s - R.I.S.E. X - March 17th – 20th, 2010- The largest student investment forum sponsored by the University of Dayton.
  9. BAP Store - Make sure to check-out all the new BAP products and patronize our vendors!
  10. We would like to welcome two new advisory forum members, CPAexcel Exam Review and the Illinois CPA Society.
