This year the Epsilon Kappa Chapter participated in Santa’s Toy Box. The purpose of Santa’s Toy Box is to provide needy children with toys for Christmas. Our chapter helped by putting up an Angel Tree in the third floor of Raley Hall. There were 120 cards placed on the tree. Each card stated the age and gender of the child. Everyone, including members, nonmembers, and faculty, were invited and encouraged to take a name from the tree. They were asked to purchase a $10-15 toy and return it unwrapped by December 13th. All the toys that were collected were taken to Santa’s Toy Box of Wautauga County. Our members also helped in sorting the toys that were brought in from the surrounding area. Several members helped to inventory the toys and place them with them with the specified age group. Needy families from the county came in to "shop" for toys for their children. This project gave everyone a chance to help those in need at this special time of year.
