Epsilon Mu Chapter, Stephen F. Austin State University

On October 26, 1998, the SFA chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, hosted a three hour high school recruiting session. Approximately 30 students from local area high schools were treated to an evening of pizza and interesting discussion about career awareness and the options that the field of Accounting has to offer.

Milly Pellizzari from the Texas Society of CPA's spoke with students about the many opportunities that they could have working within the field of Accounting. Stephen Greak, a local Certified Public Accountant who owns his own firm, and Jane Ann Bridges, a CPA who is comptroller for the Memorial Health System of East Texas, spoke about what they actually do in their jobs on a day-to-day basis. Also, Matt Lewis, a member of Beta Alpha Psi at SFA spoke with the students about his internship with KPMG, and the opportunities that an internship can provide.
