2002 Annual Meeting

• There was a large turnout for this year's Annual Meeting.
• Beta Alpha Psi's President, Steve Albrecht, addresses the many BAP members, pledges and faculty at the opening plenary session.
• Jim Castellano, Chairman of the Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, spoke on "The Future of the Accounting Profession".
• Jan Morris, Annual Meeting Chair, presented the host chapters with a certificate of appreciation
• The Zeta Upsilon Chapter of University of Houston-Clear Lake hosted the Community Service Day events
• The Kappa Eta Chapter of Southwest Texas State University, the Theta Beta Chapter of the University of Texas at El Paso, and the Eta Beta Chapter of the University of Texas at San Antonio, were our host chapters this year
• There were several winners of the Best Practices awards this year, and the University of South Florida even performed their rendition of "YCPA" at the Awards Luncheon.
• Pace University and New York University were two of the schools who contributed to the "Promoting America" category of the Best Practices. Both schools are located in close proximity to where the Twin Towers once stood and were directly affected by the tragedy
• All three of our Business Information Professional of the Year Award winners were on hand to receive their awards. Dr. Paul Munter, Education, Lynn E. Turner, Industry and Government and Will J. Pugh, Professional Services
• Tim Lashua, Alumni Representative, announced the Significantly Improved Chapters and presented the Most Improved Chapter award to the University of Memphis
• There were 25 Distinguished Chapters this year. These were announced by Aliyah Kozirovsky-Ratsen, Alumni Representative
• Lola Rhodes, Director of Chapter Activities, read the list of the 96 Superior Chapters
• Clyde Herring, Susie Shannon, Donna Street, Diane Pattison and Aliyah Kozirovsky-Ratsen, outgoing Board of Directors pose for a photo
• Outgoing President, W. Steve Albrecht, presents Incoming President, Dennis R. Reigle with the presidential gavel
• Denny Reigle, presents Steve Albrecht with a plaque thanking him for his dedication of service to Beta Alpha PsI
• Denny Reigle makes his first speech as President of Beta Alpha Psi for the 2002-2003 year
• Jan Morris, our Annual Meeting Chair, breathes a sigh of relief as she smiles heartily for the camera now that the 2002 Beta Alpha Psi Meeting has come to a successful close
