Portland, OR
Theme: Embracing the Opportunity

Known as the 'City of Roses' Portland is the place to be for the 2018 Northwest Beta Alpha Psi Regional meeting! This meeting is a great opportunity to represent your chapter, diversify your professional connections and develop stronger bonds with your team.

Chapters will have the opportunity to share ideas with other chapters through the Best Practices Competition and operational sessions. Participants will also enhance their skills at the keynote speaker event and Leadership and professional skills workshops. You will also have an opportunity to network with other Beta Alpha Psi members independently on Friday night as you explore the great city of Portland.

This meeting is a great way to represent your chapter and display professional skills by participating in the Best Practices competition sponsored by Deloitte. The deadline to submit Best Practices abstracts is Friday, January 26, 2018, by 4 PM CST. For chapters who wish to present in Chapter Operations, the deadline to submit the Chapter Operations Abstract form is Friday, February 12, 2018

Don’t miss this awesome opportunity to meet and connect with students and professionals from the Northwest region. Portland State University and the University of Portland, with the help of our professional partners and chapter advocates, are excited to host this great conference and a fun weekend!

Things to Do

Portland, home of the bicyclists and hikers. In order to obtain the most out of your short trip, filling your stomach with food is the way to go as well as letting your eyes rest upon the beauty of the city. A few tourist spots that are highly recommended are St. John's Bridge and Portland Japanese Garden. Although it is still a bit cold, rainy, and some flowers are possibly not in season, the International Rose Test Garden is a must visit when in Portland. Aside from attraction spots, food is a must for everyone. See here for possible food places to try out depending on your taste for food!

Cardz for Kidz

Back by popular demand, we will be providing students, faculty advisors and professional partners the opportunity to participate in  Cards for Kidz, an organization that provides hospitalized and traumatized children homemade, inspiring cards.  In 2017, Beta Alpha Psi achieved Gold Status with Cards for Kidz, thanks to everyone's creativity at the regional meetings and annual meeting.  We are only a handful of cards short of Platinum Status- help us attain this 2018 goal!

A table will be set up in the registration area for attendees to stop by at their leisure to create an uplifting card.  All cards will be sent to a Cards for Kidz participating hospital. To learn more about Cards for Kidz, please click here.

Beta Alpha Psi will provide paper, scissors, glue and markers.  We are asking that attendees bring supplies to enhance their cards.  To see a list of recommended supplies from Cards for Kidz, please click here.
