How to Become a Member/Student Member of the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance:

  • Regular Member ($131) – Holds a CPA certificate or equivalent or has two/more years of experience in accounting or holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • Affiliate Member ($131) – Not actively engaged in accounting or has a substantial interest in accounting or finance
  • Student/Associate Member ($42) – Regularly enrolled student or has fewer than 2 years of experience in accounting

About Ericka Harney:

Ericka Harney, MA, CFRE, GPC, CVA has over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, academia and entrepreneurship. She serves as the Executive Director for the Accounting and Finance Women's Alliance (AFWA) and The Foundation of AFWA. She is also Graduate Adjunct Faculty for North Park University in Chicago for their Masters in Nonprofit Management program.

Ericka has been responsible for successful grant awards of over $10 million. During her experience in annual fund, major gift fundraising, and events, she was responsible for raising over $1.2 million.  She has served as a federal grant peer reviewer for the US Department of Health and Human Services and the Corporation for National and Community Service, in a variety of programs under each department. As the President of the Board for God’s Closet, she was the co-founder The Purple Lunchbox, a social enterprise. The Purple Lunchbox provides skills training and employment in catering for women with criminal histories that keep them from gainful employment.

Ericka is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), a Grant Professional Certified (GPC), and a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA). She received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Bachelor of Science in Communication, as well as a Master of Arts in Communication, from the University of Kentucky. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership concentrating on Nonprofit Leadership from Eastern University in St. David’s, PA.
