KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Jane Mooney, Sr. Principal PM Technical - Robotics Strategy and Risk Management at Amazon.com
Today, I get to support the creation and realization of our Robotics roadmap for our fulfillment network, providing strategic direction and risk management in this new and exciting field. In 2015-2016 I was the liaison between Amazon Web Services and Amazon.com identifying Infrastructure cost savings opportunities and coordinating architectural efficiencies for hardware and software improvements Company wide. In 2014 I was responsible for Payments Risk Management and through August 2013 I was responsible for SOx 404 Annual and Quarterly 302 Compliance. Responsibilities included Enterprise Risk Management, IT controls, Financial controls, Operational controls and Global best practices including process improvements across Amazon. I’ve coordinated with Internal and External Audit, facilitating appropriate remediation efforts to ensure a healthy Global control environment.
My career path has been varied – taking me from external audit at PwC to financial consultant at Shearson Lehman Brothers to Antique Store Owner to SOx Consultant at Jefferson Wells and my last stop before Amazon, SOx Compliance at Boeing. As a fellow Beta Alpha Psi alumn, I have been in your shoes. I’m excited to share time with each of you.
NEW SERVICE ACTIVITY
It is believed that cranes symbolize happiness, eternal youth and good fortune. This year, we are inviting every BAP student to fold an origami paper crane, and include a message of encouragement. Paper cranes from every region will be collected and distributed to younger students during the BAP International Day of Literacy at the 2020 Annual Meeting.
