Brittney Tanner
Audit Partner, South Central Business Unit Talent, KPMG
Brittney is an Audit Partner in KPMG’s Dallas office and has over 19 years of experience in public accounting with companies in the financial services and asset management industry as well as other commercial entities, including consumer goods, restaurants, and entertainment companies.
Brittney has served as the lead partner for several mortgage banking/servicing, insurance, and broker dealer clients, as well as Frito Lay North America. Brittney also has experience serving clients in the restaurant and entertainment industries, including Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, Brinker International, Inc. and Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group.
In addition to client service, Brittney is the Audit Talent and Culture Leader for the South Central Business Unit, overseeing resource management, performance development, recruiting, culture and DEI initiatives. She has a passion for developing others and is actively involved with KPMG Network of Women.
Brittney graduated with a Masters of Accounting from Abilene Christian University, and currently lives in Dallas with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys coaching her children’s basketball teams, traveling, and working with the non-profit organization, SPARK!
Billy Strain
Partner, Business Tax Services at Deloitte Tax LLP
Billy is a Tax Partner in Deloitte’s Dallas office with over 25 years of experience providing a wide array of tax services to clients in many industries including tax compliance outsourcing and compliance process diagnostics, tax planning, and reporting for tax accounting. A key component to these services includes Billy’s experience and understanding of tax process requirements and current technology offerings to tax departments to increase departmental efficiencies while maintaining requisite departmental controls.
Prior to re-joining Deloitte, Billy led the Corporate tax group for the KPMG DFW market.
Therese Baird
Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, Dallas Sports & Entertainment, L.P.
Therese has managed the financial operations of the Dallas Stars, the Texas Stars, and the Dallas Stars Foundation since 2018. She previously worked for the Dallas Stars as AVP of Finance upon the franchise’s move from Minnesota to Dallas in 1993 through the Stanley Cup Championship in 1999.
Therese has a background in public accounting with an emphasis in tax and systems applications which has provided a solid basis for CFO positions in various industries over the years to include sports, oil and gas, technology, and professional services.
