For 29 years consecutive years, our Zeta Beta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi has achieved superior chapter status. Our Beta Alpha Psi Chapter embraces and personifies our University's commitment to academic excellence, educational opportunity, personal growth and social responsibility. Our chapter has emphasized academic excellence for our members and our student body by maintaining its rigorous membership requirements and running our tutoring lab for 30 years. Developing "Best Practices", competing in"Project Run With It", participating in regional and national meetings and securing an extensive list of speakers from public, governmental and industry accounting professionals, the Zeta Beta Chapter's students have provided educational opportunities to its members and our student body. Through leadership training, officers positions and building the relationships that lead to internship opportunities, the Zeta Beta Chapter has fostered personal growth. Whether it be building playground equipment in our park, running reading programs at our area schools, helping with pancake days for local charities, or running the tutoring lab, our Zeta Beta members learn, practice and deliver on our goal of social responsibility. Finally, I am grateful that the students of our Zeta Beta Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi are the driving force in creating, maintaining, and enhancing the culture of excellence that characterizes our Accounting, Finance, and Information Systems programs here at Western Illinois University
