"As I reflect upon my college career, I made many decisions that have led to my accomplishments today. One of those decisions was to join the Beta Alpha Psi Nu Gamma Chapter at the University of North Georgia. As a junior joining the organization, little did I know that besides improving my resume, I would receive many more benefits than I had expected from being a part of BAP. One of the most rewarding parts of this organization was the opportunity to tutor my fellow accounting peers even if it was to meet the community service hours requirement. Through tutoring, I was able to improve my skills while helping my peers and giving back to the student community. Through tutoring, I learned what it feels like to improve myself and grow together with my peers as ethical and skilled professionals. BAP also paved my path from college to professional career, which allowed me to apply the accounting knowledge and skills I acquired through classes to the real world. This amazing organization not only helped me obtain an internship, but also taught me how to take on every challenge and to excel in the work place. One of the biggest accomplishments I hoped to achieve from being on the leadership team was to be able to share with my peers how BAP prepared me to thrive in my professional career by giving me the opportunity to explore my leadership capabilities and push my boundaries."
