"For the Fall 2018 semester, JSU’s Nu Phi Chapter of Beta Alpha Psi has had major success in the community. During the semester, Jacksonville State University (JSU) has preview days that allow our students to talk to incoming freshman and transfer students about the business fields of economics, finance, and accounting. Also, our candidates and members have made a contribution in the community by distributing trees to local Jacksonville, Alabama residents. The trees were given away to help replace the trees that were destroyed by Spring 2018 tornadoes. This tornado destroyed our Hugh Merrill Hall Business and Industry building. JSU’s Beta Alpha Psi chapter sold Merrill t-shirts to students, instructors and faculty in order for them to remember all of the memories Hugh Merrill Hall provided.
Our Beta Alpha Psi meetings focus on providing opportunities for our candidates and members to gain insights of guest speaker’s experiences in accounting. For our candidates and members to be prepared for their accounting futures, our Beta Alpha Psi chapter informs these students about all internship opportunities."

“I would not have over half of the accounting relationships I currently have without the Beta Alpha Psi chapter at Jacksonville State University.”
As a Beta Alpha Psi Professional Partner representing the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA & CIMA), I am fortunate to interact with highly accomplished students who are poised to become leaders in the accounting and financial services industry. I envision many of them taking on strategic roles with macroeconomic influence. Supporting their academic and professional growth with AICPA & CIMA resources is an incredibly rewarding experience.
