Zach Kirby

Oceania (New Zealand) Region

Zach Kirby is a Solicitor in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications team at MinterEllisonRuddWatts, one of New Zealand’s leading law firms. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Auckland and was named EY Business Student of the Year in 2024.

Zach joined Beta Alpha Psi’s Auckland Chapter in 2022 and has served as Service Officer, Co-President, and Competitions Advisor. As Co-President, he helped lead the chapter to three consecutive Oceania Best Practices Competition wins, including a second-place global finish at the 2025 Annual Meeting. He also helped drive record membership growth, expand donor partnerships, and establish an alumni mentoring program connecting students with alumni worldwide that has inspired other chapters internationally.

Today, Zach serves as BAP’s Alumni Task Force Leader for the Oceania region, bringing alumni and student perspectives to the Board and helping shape programs and priorities across BAP. He is also Co-Chair of the Alumni Committee for the Kupe Leadership Scholarship (New Zealand’s most prestigious postgraduate scholarship).

Outside of work and BAP, Zach enjoys football, hiking, travelling, having visited 43 countries and counting, and trying a new hobby each month. He welcomes connections with members of the BAP international community.
