Jason Stanfield, PhD, CPA

Jason “Dr. Stan” Stanfield, assistant professor of accounting at Ball State University, received his PhD from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University in 2011, and also holds an MBA from Ball State University and an undergraduate degree from Purdue. Before joining the faculty at Ball State, Jason was an instructor at Purdue. Prior to his doctoral studies, Jason had a career in sales management and was also an entrepreneur. Jason has been involved with Beta Alpha Psi as a faculty advisor at both Purdue and Ball State since 2011, and has won many undergraduate teaching awards. As a scholar, his research has been published in The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting Education, Journal of Accountancy, and CPA Journal. Jason is regularly involved in the academic accounting community, and currently serves as Council Representative for the Midwest Region of the American Accounting Association after a term as President of the same region.
