Beta Alpha Psi annually presents the Outstanding Dean Award in recognition of the support dean’s give to their university’s Beta Alpha Psi Chapter. Beta Alpha Psi chapter officers and faculty advisors provide the nominations for this award based on interactions with their nominee.
Winner is recognized at the annual meeting in July 2024 and receives a plaque.
The nominee must be serving at their current institution as the dean (not associate or assistant dean) -- at the time of the nomination for a minimum of two years. A Dean who has retired or stepped down from their role within the previous academic semester can still be nominated for the award.
The nominee should have made a significant contribution in assisting the chapter to achieve its goals and objectives. These contributions might be in the form of faculty release time, financial support or other contributions that distinguish the nominee.
It is intended that the chapter officer(s) will complete the nomination form and the supporting statement based on their interactions with the nominee.
Winners are chosen by select members of the Beta Alpha Psi Board of Directors.
