About Lauren McDonough:

Lauren McDonough joined the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) in 2013, following her graduation from West Virginia University with a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. Lauren developed a passion for  working with students in hopes of making an impact on the future of the accounting profession through various student initiatives.

Lauren has been actively involved in programs and initiatives aimed at fostering the growth and development of aspiring accountants. She has worked with students, in elementary school, middle school, high school and college, providing them with guidance, mentorship, and resources to help them navigate their accounting education and prepare for successful careers in the field. Lauren recognizes the importance of early engagement and has played a role in establishing partnerships with educational institutions, connecting students with internships, and facilitating networking opportunities for students to connect with leaders in the accounting profession.
