Mary Patterson is the Senior Manager of Academic Relations at the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), where she leads academic market expansion and strategic relationship management across higher education. With more than a decade of experience partnering with faculty, administrators, and students in accounting and finance, Mary is recognized as a higher education market expert.
In her role, she develops and strengthens partnerships with universities, advancing IMA’s mission to prepare the next generation of accounting and finance professionals. She oversees initiatives that support student career planning, including guidance on professional pathways, the CMA® certification, scholarships, and student memberships. Mary’s work centers on helping institutions connect students with the resources and networks they need to succeed while driving new opportunities for collaboration and growth within the academic community.
