The Orlando Mid-Year Meeting has reached capacity and registration is now closed.

Beta Alpha Psi Professional Partners are entitled to one complimentary registration per company/organization; any additional attendees must pay the $190 early bird registration fee. Both Professional Partners and volunteers are requested to register by contacting bap@bapeo.org.

Code of Conduct

By registering, all AAA/BAP event attendees agree to abide by the Beta Alpha Psi Event Professional Code of Conduct and the AAA Event Code of Professional Conduct.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made prior to January 30, 2026 will be refunded. Cancellations received after this date and no-shows will not be refunded. If you encounter an emergency, please contact the conference planner and the request will be forwarded to the Executive Director for refund request review.

Taxes

Occupancy rate is subject to applicable taxes which are currently 12.5% tax per night + $15 resort fee*

*A daily Hotel Fee of $48.00 (plus applicable taxes) will be reduced to $15.00 plus applicable taxes and will be assessed each night of your stay. This fee currently covers several amenities which include: two (2) bottled waters per day; internet access in your guestroom; 24-hour access to the fitness center; 25% discount on spa and salon services; 25% discount on cabana rentals (based on availability); recreational activities at both Grotto and Terrace pools; two (2) I-Ride Trolley tickets to the International Drive area; electrical vehicle charging stations; local & 800 calls; incoming and outgoing faxes. Hotel fee inclusions and pricing subject to change. 

Check-In/Out Time

Check-in time is 4:00 PM, check-out time is 11:00 AM. All guests arriving before 4:00 PM will be accommodated as rooms become available. The hotel’s front desk staff can arrange to check baggage for those arriving early when rooms are unavailable and for guests attending functions on departure day.

Self-parking (garage with in/out privileges): $38 per night
Valet parking: $53 per night

From Orlando International Airport (MCO), the Hyatt Regency Orlando on International Drive is about 12 miles away. Get directions on Google Maps > Typical taxi or rideshare cost is around $25.

James Hansen, CPA is a proud Beta Alpha Psi alumnus of the Delta Gamma Chapter at the University of South Florida, where he served as Treasurer while earning his Master of Accountancy in Auditing & Systems. The grounding he found in BAP — leadership, accountability, and service — still guides his work today as Chief Financial Officer of Keel Digital Solutions, a fast-growing SaaS and AI-driven mental health technology company.

At Keel, James is focused on building the financial and operational foundation of the company so it can scale access to care and improve mental health outcomes for individuals and communities. He began his career with more than nine years at Ernst & Young in audit and consulting and later held finance leadership roles with both public companies and private equity–backed organizations.

James also serves on the Board of the YMCA in Lake Mary, Florida. He joins the Orlando Mid-Year Meeting as a keynote speaker, offering a perspective shaped by his BAP roots and his career in finance and leadership.

Beta Alpha Psi invites chapters to share innovative ideas, best practices, and success stories that demonstrate excellence in chapter operations at the 2026 Mid-Year Meetings.

• Overcoming Operational Challenges
  Show how your chapter removed barriers that made operations or events difficult — such as funding limits, event approvals, scheduling conflicts, or logistics like marketing for recruitment or securing speakers.
• Chapter Sustainability and Knowledge Transfer
  Show how your chapter prevents information from disappearing when members graduate, using tools like transition meetings, onboarding, documented procedures, shared drives, or templates.
• Member Engagement and Belonging
  Show how your chapter builds connection and community through programming or traditions that encourage participation, leadership, and relationship-building — beyond résumé goals.
• Ethical Decision-Making in Action
  Describe a real ethical situation your chapter faced and how you approached it — the decision options, what you chose, and what you learned.
• Pipeline Initiatives: Bridging the Accounting Gap
  Show how your chapter encourages students to explore accounting and related fields — especially those who may not have considered the profession.
• Partnerships and Professional/Community Impact
  Show how your chapter collaborates outside BAP — with faculty, student organizations, firms, nonprofits, or community groups — and the impact of those partnerships through service, outreach, or professional events.

Best Practices are activities created by a chapter to advance specific goals set by the Beta Alpha Psi Board of Directors and Deloitte LLP, embodying the spirit and mission of Beta Alpha Psi. These projects also serve as models for other chapters.

Support Students at Pizzo K–8 School

As part of the Orlando Mid-Year Meeting, Beta Alpha Psi is proud to host a school supply drive benefiting Pizzo K–8 School, a Title I school located on the University of South Florida campus serving students from PreK through 8th grade.

Pizzo K–8 partners closely with USF as a Professional Development School, supporting innovative teaching, continuous educator development, and strong educational outcomes for students. Donations of school supplies will directly support classrooms and tutoring efforts, helping ensure students have the tools they need to learn, grow, and succeed.

Every contribution—big or small—helps create supplies for success for students in our Orlando host community.
